I apologize for the lack of posting recently! I have been traveling a lot, but definitely think about the 100 mile run daily. I am so excited to push myself and raise awareness about Malia's fight and childhood cancer. Originally, I had signed up to run the Dick Collins 50 tomorrow morning, I wish I were running but some unforseen circumstances have prevented my travel up to San Francisco for tomorrow's race. But don't fret, there are many ultras and I am signing up for the Ultracentric 12 hour run in Dallas on November 18th. This essentially is a two mile loop course and I will run as far as I can in 12 hours. My goal is 54 miles, but we'll see what my body does when I get there. Running is an incredibly humbling experience at times so hopefully I can meet my goal. Now that I have published my goal mileage I have to do it!
I am also going to run the Rock N' Roll Marathon in Vegas which is at night the first weekend in December. With these two races as training for the 100, hopefully I will feel prepared come January.
It has finally cooled down in San Diego and feels a bit like fall, almost anyway. Tonight I plan to log 6-7 miles. Then on SAturday i am just going to start my watch and run as much as I can for 4 hours. On Sunday I will increase the time to 5 hours and then Monday I probably will simply rest and stretch! That about sums up my weekend in terms of running.
Keeep on runnin' folks! And let me know if you want to run some with me January 12th!
